« on: 26 August, 2019, 08:52:07 AM »
Can anyone tell me the sizes of the needle bearing and oil seal for the gearbox selector shaft please?
Is it an easy job to do?

You need to remove the front sprocket and then some, the manual describes the procedure in section 12 page 7 here https://bob.ollis-brown.co.uk/manuals/cbf1000/2006-2008-CBF1000-A-12%20TRANSMISSION-GEARSHIFT%20LINKAGE.pdf

The Honda fiche shows the parts you want listed with the water pump here https://www.bike-parts-honda.com/honda-motorcycle/1000-MOTO/CBF/2006/CBF1000A6/Engine/WATER-PUMP/17MFA6I1/E__1000/1/2043

Looks to be a 14 x 22 mm needle roller and a 14 x 22 x 5 mm oil seal. Honda's £2.71 for the oil seal is about right, £28.48  for a needle roller bearing is outrageous. If a replacement is needed I'd be shopping around elsewhere for that, once you've removed the old bearing check it against something like this https://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/p9693/IKO-TA1416Z-Needle-Roller-Bearing-Open-End-Type-14x22x16mm/product_info.html
