New CBF member

Just picked up my 08 CBF1000 on Wednesday. I think it's designated an AT8. So today I took it for its first ride. Did 500.5 kms. I noticed that the neutral light was flickering so I went online for help and found this site. So here I am.
I live across the pond about an hour and a half east of Toronto. My previous rides were a 2004 BMW R1100S and before that a Blackbird. I used to ride quite a bit of long distance but the old bones aren't what they used to be and I seem to find much less time to ride these days.
Anyhow I located some advice that I will use to try and fix my issue.
