Flashing neutral when hot
« on: 11 July, 2019, 09:51:16 AM »
Hi guys! Hope everyone is ok. I ride a Honda CBF 600 2004 and using it for commute. Everytime when the temperature goes higher then normal riding temperature the neutral start flashing when in neutral and as soon I put the bike on side stand kills the engine. This happens only when the temperature is over 90 degree. I don't have any problem changing gears, the gear box works fine. I changed the oil because was the time to do this and was thinking that maybe will fix also this problem but didn't. I appreciate any information that could help me to fix it. Ride safe!!!

You could be looking for a needle in a haystack here.

I'd start at the dashboard panel and check for a short between the coolant temperature indicator wiring (green/blue wire) and the neutral indicator wiring (green red wire)

good luck
