HISS Keys
« on: 05 June, 2019, 04:59:37 PM »
I'm thinking of buying a CBF 1000 this weekend.
Is there a master key for the HISS system??(like Yamaha's red key? How many keys did they come with when new?
Any pointers on what to look for in particular would be useful.,.......weak spots etc

Cheers Shaun

From new comes with two keys and a key number tag.

Points to look out for are as with any other second hand motorcycle. There's much hype on here regarding MKI stator failure and some have even replaced perfectly serviceable stators in blind panic.

If there is no tag will that be an issue in the future?

The tag just has the key code number on it which should also be in the owners documentation somewhere.
