Engine cooling fan

How long does it take other forum members cooling fan to kick in?Mine seems to kick in quite quickly,much faster than VFR800
is this normal?

Hi Bluefox,

Kicks in very quickly. Just a few minutes of ticking over sometimes when hot. Even in winter if you are stationary it can kick in. They say its nothing to worry about. It soon stops when on the move. Must be a pain for those living in hotter climates, as the hot air rises to the rider.

Thanks for that,puts my mind at rest.Was just a bit concerned as it cuts in quite quickly but there again I suppose its a big old lump to keep cool on a warm day.
