Finally, back in the saddle
« on: 30 May, 2019, 07:30:29 PM »
Hey Guys,

i am new to the forum, as i recently bought an CBF1000 06' i tought it would be nice to subscribe.
I'm from belgium, so my english will not be perfect, just so you know  :008:

Loving my Cbf , i owned a few motorcycles proir to thisone. 2years ago sold my suzuki SV1000-N.
personally did not like the V-twin very much, also the ride was not very comfortable imo.

before that disaster on wheels i owned a few 2wheelers.
short list:

Fazer 600 1999, liked that, nice ride and dependable.
Suzuki Freewind 650 1998, good ride position and virtually bulletproof. butt ugly doh
Suzuki gsxf 750 2000, good engine. but again not a looker.

you have guessed i did not choose my motorcycles based on looks.. PRICE was my guide  :006:
Then i decided it was time to be a bit less of a cheapskate and bought my next one.

Kawasaki Z750 2005, really loved that thing, nice to look at and a very fun motorcycle. had to sell it because of personal reasons . (read divorce  :211:)

2years later bought that SV 1000-N , more of a spur of the moment thing, missed the feeling of riding and a co-worker soled it to me for a very good price (special price one might say)

so now, againg almost two years later i bought my current 2-wheeled friend, The honda cbf1000.2006 Verrry happy with the overall feel of the thing  :047:

OH, I am 37yo, and have 2 kids. work at the Port Of Antwerp.

Thanks For reading  :300:

:405: Welcome to the forum Dr.

Once you have put a few Kms on your CBF you will realise what a fantastic all rounder it is  :020:, a real do anything bike.

Enjoy it and ride safe
