Thrilled with my CBF
« on: 02 May, 2019, 11:09:26 PM »
Just picked up a red 2008 cbf1000 with only 9100ks on the clock after last having a bike (hornet 900) 5 years back.  :300:Can’t wait to get it on the the road in the Motorcycling Mecca that is Tasmania!

Welcome Twosticks, recently got myself a 2009. Just getting out and about on it recently. Going on a bike rally this weekend. Hope to meet other owners. Did around 300 miles last weekend with the Mrs on pillion, all easy and good. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks alongside. I had my first weekend on it with a 250k loop on Saturday followed by 340k on Sunday with some Harley riding mates across the Tasmanian highlands. Already this feels to be the best matched bike for me & my intended use I’ve ever owned & a bargain at $4800.00 AUD!

Sounds like you are getting plenty of kilometres in. Not sure what the Tasmanian highlands looks like (I will have to look it up), but I guess its good. The bike rally last weekend I was pitched next to a lad with a cbf 1000, we had a bit of a talk,as you do. He had had his a few years, and was still enjoying it.
