Anyone driven beemer 1250 rs?

I know mentioning beemer is a bit of blasphemy here, but this 1250 RS is the bike I like the most these days looks-design wise.
Not one single test or review on youtube. About 1200RS there are some but not 1250 so far.
If anyone has some experience to share, this is very welcome.

The new R1250RS release date has been put back to September 2019 so you won't find any reviews yet.

A chap I know wanted one but had to settle for the new GS1250.

Looks good and that would be my choice of R-series beemer if I was going to get one.
The new shift-cam motor should be excellent but I've never ridden one. Shift-cam seems to be the way things are going now, for example it is used on mainstream VW group petrol engines (EA888 gen 3).
Why not talk to your local dealer about it and blag a test ride on a similar model eg the RT, the motor is probably going to be the same.

Oh that makes sense then, thanks for mentioning, I was planning for a test ride but that would be impossible too then.

Seeing some youtubes on the "older" 1200RS, what came back several times was that they liked the steering/riding better on the 1200GS than on 1200RS.
The 1200RS seemed not a fast flickable machine and more tuned to straight line stability, a very stable geometry for riding trips but less nimble as a payback.
Dunno if that's true but when you hear that in several vids something might be true as the fork angle of the GS is 2degrees less rake than 1200RS and GS having 9% less castor than RS.

Maybe that's why BMW lessened the castor a tad  by 4 mm on the 1250rs compared to the 1200rs? That's 3.6% less castor for their new RS.
The other geometry numbers are the same for 1200rs vs 1250rs.

Why can't the others make a nice design like this

I agree with your comments on the RS.
I had a seat on a 2016 in my local Motorrad dealer. The ergonomics were just right for me (I'm 5'9"). I looked on it as my next step up from my CBF1000.

.......at least that was the case until I got on my friends Ducati 1200 Multistrada S. Wow, absolutely gorgeous! Not as high as I feared, was able to flat foot it and a lot lighter than it looks. Shocking price though.

I haven’t ridden a 1250 BMW but I have ridden the 3 versions of the 1200 engine and the latest water cooled one was by far the best, so I think the 1250 will be good. I didn’t like the previous 1200 engines.
