I have crash bungs fitted to the engine. Made by a Sheffield firm specifically for the cbf1000 ,about £30 a pair, bought off ebay. Seem ok to me .

have givi bars on the bike , have dropped the bike 3 times so far in sandy conditions and they got the best of the hit saving the engine covers .

have resprayed them since as the marks where getting rusty

that happend the 1st year of ownership.... i have the feeling it is more difficult to happen now
