Hello everybody,

Just joined today, hoping to make new friends and gain plenty of tips and ideas from fellow CBF1000 riders. Sold my VFR800VTEC last month(a committed Honda man) it was a Turkish registered one, so too many problems exporting it to Greece. Looking forward to collecting the bike next week, after touring gear is delivered and fitted to the dealer where I bought it. I think its a 2007 model, the seller wasn't sure, anyway it has injection, only has a smidge over 16.500 kilometres, and looks in pretty damn good condition, want to tour Greece and try a run to the alps later in the year.

Welcome from cold, snowy Canada!
Old enough to have seen it all, heard it all, done it all. Just can't remember it all.

 Hi Guys,

Thanks for the replies glad to see other CBF riders out there but not seen any others in Greece yet. took it out today for its first days ride with her indoors on the back, just had a short run as her boots fell apart so we had to go back after 50 kms and then we got sidetracked and that was that for today at least.

Really impressed how well it pulls up hills even in 5th from 2000rpm and it feels pretty smooth and very manageable, have to keep reminding myself its a thou motor coz it feels smaller than my previous mount.

Now looking to fit some extra lights and get them fitted when the touring bags and top box arrives from Athens. thinking also of getting some LOUDER pipes, its too damn quiet! Any suggestions which can ends to go for?

  thanks in advance.

Stergios,

Thanks my man, for the link, wow quite a few to choose from spoilt for choice really! Now the big question in my mind is, what effect on the fuel economy are they going to have and will it effect the overall smooth running of the engine? Whats your impression of the bike after fitting, LOUDER,yep thats a given, but anything else worthy of consideration? Grateful for any feedback, constructive or otherwise!
