I agree with J-Man, see
http://www.answers.com/Q/What_affect_does_a_changing_magnetic_field_strength_have_on_an_ac_generator_power_output
for starters.
Incorrigible - I have found this an excellent forum for advice etc and I am a bit perplexed that you are asking people who are trying to help for their "background/job knowledge/specialism" in answering questions.

Hi David.Thank you for your input. My enquiry is based solely on a  need to evaluate the true value of the information being offered.I am sure it is given in good faith & with the very best of intentions. I have seen advice being offered on a range of topics on various sites including critical & safety issues which are not suitably proven or supported.I have been Motorcycling since Sep '63 and am a Heavy /Light current Engineer & sincerely believe  the nature of our two-wheeled passion demands only the highest level of care in all we say & do. Utmost thanks to all those who contribute  but please take care. Edward.

hI corrigible; I think that you are missing the point this this a forum not a  Official Honda Technical website. If you want truly expert advise perhaps you should consult and pay for experts. By the way I have been biking since 1969 and built several bikes from scratch (including I hate to admit  it now) several choppers in the 70's and been the member of many bike forums (since the advent of the web) and your post is the first I can remember that possibly insults another forum member by asking them for their qualifications..

Thanks David.I really feel we all have a core responsibility, especially  where critical safety issues are concerned, to only pass on information that we know to be absolutely proven. All other views should be suitably advised as such.

Just my opinion of course.Edward.

Corrigible; in other words the only persons that you as a newbie want contributing to this forum must be professionally qualified with the appropriate insurance indemnity. I repeat again that this an excellent forum, and I would hate to go down the road that you wish to dictate. We all realise that any advice that is given on this forum is given out of good will and that is on the recipient to check to check it.

Yes thanks for that fellas. What was a perfectly valid and interesting topic for a forum once again turns into a cat fight and hijacks thus said subject.

I was wondering if this forum would actually be any different to the Suzuki VanVan forum which turned out to be shall we say Clicky at best with people sniping at each other and hey ho, within three or four posts I am at that same place again.

Maybe forums aren’t for me then. After all I thought people on here had a common interest but maybe it was too much to expect us all to act as respectful human beings, share information and experience and just get along.

For all of our sakes get over yourselves and go and get a room!!

Best regards
Scoots

May I apologise to everyone, I agree with Scoootyman, and am really sorry the matter went his far. I only wanted to protect the forum and will only in future reply to posts when I have information to give about tech matters.
