pre 2007 CBF1000 A6 ULEZ (London daily emissions charge)
« on: 13 October, 2018, 06:48:43 PM »
As of 8th April 2019 pre 2007 CBF100's will receive a daily emissions penalty charge of £12.50 for riding in the Central London ULEZ zone unless the motorcycle is on the Transport for London vehicle compliance database. So if you're still riding a pre 2007 CBF in the TfL ULEZ zone then you need to register your motorcycle as ULEZ compliant by.....

1) If the TfL ULEZ vehicle checker tool shows you are subject to the ULEZ then...

2) Request a Certificate of Conformity from Honda by emailing them at certificateofconformity@honda-eu.com including your full VIN number and your address details. You can expect to receive your certificate by post within five to seven working days.

3) Send a scan or photograph of the Certificate of Conformity and page 2 of your V5 to TfL via their 'make an enquiry' form, link below.

4) Tfl should then update the vehicle compliance database with the details of your CBF1000 and will email you confirming this.

A similar process will also apply to other makes and models of motorcycle that are early adopters (pre 2007) of the Euro 3 emissions standard and possible in other cities across the UK as they follow suit.

We visit London 3 or 4 times a year........We drive to Leatherhead and take the train into Victoria or Waterloo, it’s so much easier.

London is a Kingdom in its own right, with its own rules.  :112:

But we still like visiting.  :001:

I would have thought that pre 2007 models would be automatically compliant on their database so please post if your machine has a duff result on their online checker.   :038:

Edit:   Hmmm.... maybe not. Just checked an A6 on their checker and it wasn't so ....   :151:

Blooming heck, just checked all eight of my vehicles, including my 07 biffa and they are not compliant either, looks like Khan is going to get his way, and have nothing but donkeys, like 1400 years ago which is his aim!! :023:
A newbie to the Biffer, owned a Bird for 17 years, and looking forward to long term ownership of my CBF!!

IanRobbbo1: As a Londoner I had to laugh at the last part of your post. Sorry but all donkey/horses will also be banned unless they are wearing nappies. Reason -  piles of fresh steaming dung on the road could cause unacceptable accidents to our beloved (sic) cyclists due their skidding on them. But on the positive side, there will be a boom in the bucket and spade industries and we will have fantastic rose gardens in London.

I don't see why A6's are not listed in their database as being compliant. Euro 3 came in during 2005 on new models, so 2006 model CBF's were designed to comply.   :187:

Cannot bame the EU for this, can we? Is this home grown democracy we can expect post Brexit? I had an airline ticket with a breakdown of costs, 50% was a green tax. So that was my conscious clear. Obviously the tax removes the pollution, and makes it more acceptable to pay..... :232:

You would have thought but TfL have re-invented the wheel here. Whilst the ULEZ standard is based on Euro emission standards, compliance is based on year of registration. Putting the onus of proof of compliance on the registered keeper of the early adopters keeps TfL costs down and profits up.

Ooh. Does this mean there is no longer old rat bikes like GT750s scurrying about with panniers and stickers all over them carrying important files from point A to point B anymore?

….it's a long time since I've been to central London. I suppose all those files are now digital and the GTs are all squirreled in sheds gaining value by the minute.
