Bloody Buttocks......or words to that effect!!! :232:

Just had an email and text message to say our crossing on 12th has been cancelled!

They’ve got us on the 1800hrs crossing on Tuesday, but I’m not holding my breath. With it arriving on Wednesday evening, we’ll have to cut out two of our northern stopovers and do a 250 mile motorway stint to get us back on our time table by Thursday evening.

Just about to hit a bottle of red! :110:

I saw on our local news that a second Brittany ferries vessel spent all night in Plymouth with all the passengers on board due to engine failure. Quite disappointing. I have used them loads of times without a problem. Hope you get sorted

With Brittany Ferries being the only UK to Spain operator there’s no competition.

Two ships down and thousands of people put out. If it was an airline they’d be more said about it, but unfortunately we’re at their mercy. :027:

You’ve got to laugh, otherwise you’d cry. :110:

We lost the first 3 days of our holiday due to ferry being bust, and now it’s bust again! We’re not due to travel back until the 29th (in Seville at the moment) but they’ve already cancelled sailings until 22nd.

It’s starting to look like a motorway slog up through France. I’m looking at a route to St Malo, anyone got any overnight stop recommendations?

Our last night stop in Spain is about 120 miles south of Santander, so 800 miles to St Malo (or there abouts). I’m looking at two stops.  :028:

I hope Brittany Ferries are going to cover your additional costs

Hi me again,be very careful with your speed in France. There now speed cameras everywhere and they only give 2/3 kmph tolerance .45 euro a pop. If you have a sat nav with up to date mapping and camera notification turn it ON,it is actually illegal in France to have it turned on but ha ho bugger em.Regards

Ace hotels through booking.com are good. Similar to Premier Inn
