Average mpg display

Hi, I have a Mk2, the digital display reads in litres per mile etc, I have read the manual but canít workout if I can change it to per gallon.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

I reckon to have read this but and Iím not sure because it was a quick read and fiddle, but I thought if I selected gallons it put the speedometer in KMH
BUT I might be wrong

Nope.
But you can change it to miles per litre - which is more meaningful.
Then spend the quite bits of the road trip improving your mental maths !
Only do it right - no bodging please.   Keeper of the failed stator list.   John.

Yes itís showing litres, but Iím old fashioned and deal in gallons.

I used to think that, then I realised I bought petrol in litres and measure my distance in miles. So its kinda useful in a how far to having to push kinda way lol.
PS 0.22 or 4.55 is what you need for doing the maths.

Anybody had this display stop working , the average miles per litre display on my mk2 now  just shows 3 dashes .
Apparently the replacement part for this little display costs £400 !
