Multimeter BARGAIN
« on: 08 August, 2018, 06:58:12 PM »
Just bought a replacement multimeter for one I bought from Maplins over a decade ago.  This is a real bargain at £7.99 incl express delivery through Amazon.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/ProWarm-Digital-Multimeter/dp/B00BI0LNUM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1533749625&sr=8-1&keywords=prowarm+digital+multimeter

Not much detail on the Amazon site and being sold by an underfloor heating company :012: - but so what.  However, it seems well made, works to a tollerance of within +/- 1% and does everything that my Sinometer MS8230B did which is more than most of us are likely to need.  It is not auto ranging but you will pay another £20 or so for that.  For the price I think it is OUTSTANDING and no excuse for anyone not having one in their tool kit.   Who needs a 'Fluke' :187: - have you seen their prices :156: :156: :156:.

Just think of being able to test your stator output, each of the stator phases, the regulator and any circuit issues you may get as the bike, especially the MKI's age, never mind the duracell batteries on your kids/grandkids toys at Christmas :002:.

His price certainly was - almost unbelievable at £5 incl.

Virtually identical to mine at 8 squids, the only advantage I seemed to have was that I ordered at 17.50 on 7th and received by signed for parcel force at 08.53 on 8th - now that was express delivery :001:.

For only one more squid though I did like his other find of the auto ranging multimeter   https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01MXGOCOF/
It looks much better finished, has a non contact facility which is useful and other facilities (which I probably wont use but may be handy to others).  If I had seen this I probably would have gone in this direction because I like my 'toys'.  Unbelievable how the Chinese manufacturers can produce stuff at these prices :006:.

Credit where credit is due, 'The King of Search' is still at the top of his game.
