Thanks for that info, I just hope it's a generic photo they are using, anyone actually bought one though, I'm planning on a european ride next year and plan to take a spare,"the joys of owning a blackbird" :164:
Any ideas for a cheap "spare" regulator rectifier  :015:

The wiring looks decent and the price is very good. Let us know if you do decide to buy one.

You'll end up fitting it - to make sure it all functions and the leads fit (are they long enough) etc.
And then taking your existing as the spare (unless turns out to be obviously worse for wear).

The only real proof is in time/miles, then the stator's insulation and physical stability is tested.

I'd best stick you on the 'stator' list then - as a preemptive strike man!
Only do it right - no bodging please.   Keeper of the failed stator list.   John.

All staters I’ve seen have heat resistant (?) lacquer coating the copper windings. Your version has ‘bare’ coils; does anyone know if this is technically relevant in giving a longer life etc? The price is very tempting if all the wiring is the right length etc and zero lacquer doesn’t matter. I’ve got 21k on the clock, so a good, cheap spare seems like a good idea.
