olivers mount scarborough racing

Does anybody know what is happening with the Olivers Mount road racing circuit ? I know events have been cancelled this year for safety reasons but are there any plans to make improvements to the track ?

ps I know I was moaning about the entry charges but it would be sad to see racing there pack up altogether.

I fear that now the council have become more involved that likelyhood of any racing this year (or next) has become less likely.

I can understand some of the issues (whose 'circuit' it is to make the required safety improvements for one) but this sort of thing doesn't often conclude well.

It is a public road so I suppose the council have to be involved. I read that there is also some problem with Auto66 Club continuing as the sponsors of racing at Olivers Mount ?
