    Ok got it working now.
Took the bike for a spin and it learnt that way.
Would not learn on the centre stand.

Glad to hear you have it sorted.
It would be interesting to know the principle of its work.

Thanks AK, yes I'm not 100% sure either.
Probably a few factors come into it I'm guessing

I have a similar gear indicator. I was able to configure it with the bike on the centre stand. I was a bit worried about running it that fast on the stand but it worked out okay. :028:

I got red display numbers to make it easier to read in bright sunlight.

These gizmos plug into the diagnostic connector under the seat where they can get speedometer and engine RPM data. As you work up through the gears during programming it stores the relationship between speed and RPM so it can calculate it continuously during use.

That would make sense. It has never occurred to me that the speedometer would show speed while the bike is on a centre stand. So I went to check and it does show the "speed" indeed!

Yeah it's strange, I tried it on the centre stand and ran through the gears with no luck. Tried resetting numerous times but atleast it's working now after riding down the road then it learnt straight away.
Yes makes sense, was thinking along the same lines on how it worked although found it strange why not oin the stand when the speedo etc was working.
Either way I'm happy now haha  :031:
