I'm confused. The parts diagram and the service manual indicate that the switch is on the left side but the photos posted here show the right side.
What am I missing?

If you are replacing it check out my previous post. It's easily done that way.

Ah that makes sense.  Thanks. I ordered the part yesterday and will try to swap it shortly.

Yep itís ďaccessibleĒ from the right side. But it didnít go too well. After contorting my fingers I got the old one out and the new one in. Then getting the 8 mm nut on that connects the wire proved quite difficult. I ended up snapping off the pin. Then the Honda dealership informed me that the part is back ordered.
When does the fun part start?

Back ordered part arrived. It took 10 minutes to install it and about 20 minutes to install the parts I removed and to torque it all up. Yay!!!😎

Time to show it the multimeter and test the wiring, connections and bulb.

Neutral light is nice and bright when in neutral. But when in gear it flickers with varying intensity from very weak to not quite full bright. It doesnít matter whether the engine is hot or cold.
