16000 service Valves and clearances
« on: 29 March, 2018, 07:10:03 PM »
Is it worth having the valves and  clearances  done at 16,000 miles engine running sweet as a nut or just a normal service ??? :465:

Not sure what service intervals are but I had mine checked at 30k and they were fine, have them checked next time you put new plugs in.

If you do a search you’ll find plenty on this subject.

Honda service says 16000 miles or 4 years. My trusted mechanic says he won’t even consider checking them lower than 20000 miles.....but he’ll do it if I insist.

Some will have it done for peace of mind, others because the service schedule says they should be done.

I’m happy with the advice of my mechanic.  :028:
