Blimey, you must push it to get those fuel figures.  :005: :001:

Thinking there may be something wrong with my bike, especially as I have an aftermarket can and the associated servo gizmo faff, I rode out last night, short shifting and doing 'car-type speeds'. I filled up twice, got 58mpg and 52 mpg, the second reading was in heavy traffic. I was very surprised, but content the bike is returning the 'normal' fuel consumption figures discussed in this thread. So it is me after all. Phew.
I am off for a week in Ireland soon, two up and loaded, so it will be interesting to see the fuel returns then.

On the gauge normally get 10.5 / litre. Last night filled up then filled up again. As I have geared bike up, speedo is accurate, therefore above figures should be fairly accurate

I am getting 55mpg since fitting Beowulf exhaust and servo eliminator, checked at each tank fill up. The miles /litre on the digital gauge  seems to fluctuate wildy so I don't take too much notice of that. I was getting 58mpg before, but I am riding a bit faster now.(still not exceeding the speed limits of course)

If you have upped the gearing, the speedo will be right but the mileometer and the fule consumption figures shown on the bike will underread by around 6.5%. So you get better consumption than is shown.

Need to have a think about that Alan!
I guess the only accurate way is google maps or Tom Tom, establish how many true miles you have done fill the tank to the same level and calculate.
