Biker Mike's 2018 EuroTour

I've finally decided on my late Summer 2018 Eurotour destination.
This will be a 14-day tour, commencing early Monday September 3rd from the hole in the ground near Folkestone.
The tour will take in most of the Deutsche Alpenstraße, pretty much every place of note on this website:

and the Stelvio Pass thrown in for good measure.
The route will avoid toll roads where possible and although it passes through Northern Switzerland, I've been careful to avoid using their motorway system, so a vignette should not be necessary (NB: probably need one for Austria though)
Tour distance is approx 3700km which equates to about 56hrs in the saddle. I'll be camping all the way unless conditions dictate otherwise.

There'll be a few long days as well as a few short ones, but every day will present plenty of opportunities for comfort breaks, Kodak moments and fuel stops.

Me and my wife did the German Alpes route about 7 years ago. We had a great time, although not as challenging as the Route Des Grand Alps, still great riding.

Not a great road, but not many options along that part of the route. However, Lindau was a very nice place to visit.

So Hello Mike.....its been a while.

what was the outcome of the trip? which bike did you take?

Had planned to do part of the same route on the way to Croatia this year.....but circumstances at home do not permit me to do my usual Europe escapades.....hopefully May -June 2019.

Has anyoe hear from Bikermike since his last expedition?? I am a liitle concerned about him,,,,as he tends to go a little off road  ....accidentlly :084:when he goes touring.Not sure if he took the CBF or the Blackbird.....but odd that he has not reported back.
