Option 6 connector etc
« on: 22 November, 2020, 10:18:47 PM »
Guys... what is this option 6 connector? Sounds like its ready made connectors for connecting other ancilliaries to is that right?

if so.. are they all switched

how many are there and where?

Should they all be +12V?

I just tapped into the tail light +12 to connect a trigger relay for a Power distribution module. Sounds like i didnt need to do that.

cheers

Mark

The option connector is a yellow six pin connector located behind the right rear cowl just forward of the engine control module and buried in plain view. There are five connections, the cable colours are

white/black - 12v 10A fused ignition switched live
red/green - 12v 20A fused always live
orange - left indicator
light blue - right indicator
green - chassis ground

Some wiring diagrams I did earlier here  and here's one of particular interest

I see... is this also on the Mk II - 2010 onward? I see your diagram is 2006-2009.

Yes, the SC58 and SC64 option connectors are wired exactly the same
