Another possibility (which was mentioned already my Richard above)
is to use the Options connector which is sitting in the right side of bike at the back.
It is fused and has all the wires needed for accessories

It is a Sumitomo HM 090 6P (codes are 6180-6181 6187-6801)

Pinout was mentioned in another post is as following (pics are of a MKII)

pin1 - blank - not used
pin2 - W/BL - Ignition (IG) - means you get 12V AFTER Ignition
pin3 - R/G - Battery (Bat1) - this has 12V from Battery so be aware always on...
pin4 - O - Left Rear turn
pin5 - Lb - Right Rear tun
pin6 - G - Ground


P.S. I'm planning to use this plug myself routing 3 wires to the front of the bike
