Routes from Bikers Britain book
« on: 07 September, 2017, 01:30:27 PM »
Starting a new topic about routes taken from the book Bikers Britain (http://amzn.eu/0pEFExx)

The Charlbury TT.
Found a reference to this in the book but not the actual route itself. Its a triangular loop of B-roads just south of Chipping Norton in the Cotswolds and 20 miles in length. It goes through Charlbury and takes in the B4437, A361 and B4026.
Went and rode around it a few times both directions and its a great route. Lots of bends, fast bits, undulations and not too much traffic or development :152:

I think this is a great book.
Apparently , many (maybe all) of the routes are available on the Ride website.

There's a lovely run from Bedford , up through Kimbolton, to just south of Peterborough which I've done a number of times. I'm trying their 4 day tour of Wales route in a couple of weeks time.
better to wear out rather than to rust out..

You are correct, all of the routes in that book plus many others are available in GPX format for loading into your favourite satnav.
I use my 350LM with routes planned in Basecamp.
Happy to share the GPX files for any routes I have discussed here.
