Hi there from Moscow :)

Do not pay attention to present local weather - this spring is unusually cold. Forcasts promises warm summer.
SP, if you are still planning to visit Moscow, please, contact me - gfedeneva@gmail.com. I'll try to help with accomodation & "travel program"

Possibly, I can formalize to an invitation for the Russian embassy in GB? (Never did this before).  :401:

Concerning visit to Poland: there is beautiful castle  Marienburg in Malbork (North Poland, near Gdansk). We stayed in B&B "Vis-a-vis Zamku". It's really situated on opposite bank of the River, also it has closed parking for motorcycles.  :152:

In Ketrzyn (also North Poland) there is The Wolf's Lair (Wolfsschanze). It's not wery "touristic friendly" place, parking is quite expensive and we didn't find any guide (probably, because it wasn't "hot season"), but you will get a map and a warning about unexploded mines :028:

Also around Ketrzyn there are some military bunkers, but they were closed during our visit.

Warsaw is too big to desribe it in one message. I recommend to visit old marketplace and King's Castle first of all.

Sorry for mistakes  :034:

Best regards, Galina

Hi Galina,
Thank you for your kind offer of assistance and tips fpr Poland.
We are just about complete with the paperwork side. I have an appointment with the Consulate tomorrow....so hopefully that will be the end of protocol and endless paperwork. For some reasons, I can only  allowed to apply from within Australia. For not being part of the EU, we get to complete another four pages of questions!!!
I'll send you a PM when I get confirmation and hopefully we can arrange a quick catch up. We are in ST Petersburg for four days and there are some debates as to wether we are going to Moscow...one of the negative side of going with others.
I might be mad or even slightly insane....but I LOVE my CBF1000GT

Thanks Mike. I have taken steps to ensure that i cannot remove the keys from the bike without taking the phone off the cradle. It was a monumental stuff up on my part last year....one thst i hope never to repeat.
Starting to feel a little enthusiastic about the trip now and looking forward to riding the VFR again. It served me well last year. Looking for a similar experience this year.
Hopefully we might catch up for a quick bite this year again.
Cheers.
