Cheap car Sat Nav

Am going on a short break to England for a few days and am using car rental.

I checked e bay and found cheap sat navs at around £25-30 which would make things handy for me

Its about £41 to rent one with car.

Anybody got a cheapie they'd recommend or are they all tash at that money.  Any pitfalls(eg no cig connector or electrical probs) that I could hit, let me know??

All advice welcome.

I have a Garmin Sumo 550 for the bike but need something for car.

I use an old Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S2) running the Sygic SatNav app which works well most of the time and is quite cheap for UK maps and adding other countries not as expensive as TomTom

why not put it up for sale before you buy it or travel with a long run on ebay until after your return and a £29 reserve you'l loose £20 maybe less

My Zumo 660 came with a car mount as well as a bike mount. Until I got a car with an in built Sat Nav I had my 660 in the car as well as using it on my bike. Didn't your 550 come with a car mount?

Nothing local on gumtree.

Will try the 550 but doesn't work by the computer.
It failed in September 2016 for a week so problems beginning.

Does anyone have already bought the really cheap ones

They are Ok not great. don't expect quality build but in pair with most electronics nowadays.
Almost all of them coming with iGo software. It is a good GPS software but if you replace it with the "Primo" version you will get the most advanced GPS software on the market. Some unit is easy to do some a bit trickier. Updated Maps are always easy to find.
