Touratech, so renowned as an expensive source of parts, are now the sole supplier of Ortlieb motorcycle products.
So don't except to see Ortlieb bags at low prices again any time soon.
LOMO must be seen as the best value alternative now.

Touratech takes over the distribution of our motorcycle line from January 2016 on. From now on our motorcycle bags and tank rucksacks will be exclusively distributed by the motorcycle specialist Touratech located in Niedereschach, Germany, by further specialist retailers in Germany and by the worldwide distribution network of Touratech AG.
In close cooperation with Touratech we will optimize our motorcycle collection – as before with the Adventure Rack-Packs – in close cooperation with Touratech, and will supplement the line with new developments. The collection will include dry bags, duffle bags, tank rucksacks, water and document bags, outer pockets etc. The brandname “Touratech Waterproof Made by Ortlieb” bundles synergies: ORTLIEB’s knowhow in manufacturing waterproof gear and Touratech’s experience in adventure touring.
Touratech’s company history shows some parallels with ORTLIEB’s story: the first Touratech products were designed because of personal need – similar as ORTLIEB’s beginnings, when a product was made out of personal requirements and simply because it was not yet existing. Touratech founder Herbert Schwarz designed the motorcycle computer IMO 200T and built himself some motorcycle aluminum cases. Hartmut Ortlieb made waterproof bicycle panniers of truck tarp for his bicycle trip. Today both companies can look back onto an impressive story of success. For both companies “Quality Made in Germany” is an important issue, and both unite all divisions from product design to production, distribution and marketing at their company headquarters in Germany.
