Dash
on: 10 April, 2016, 07:01:05 PM
Went out for a leisurely morning run out got as far as the end of my road and was about to turn right into the main road when for some unknown reason I did a Eddy the Eagle  through the air and landed in the middle of the road with my legs pointing skywards .
Dont have the faintest idea what happened or what caused it. A nice man stopped and helped me get the bike up,I was then able to carry on with my ride. I inspected the damage when I got back home, the silencer had a scratch that I was able to dress out ,
the fairing has got a couple of dings which I will spray over when I get the time. Its goes to show how quick and unexpected things can go wrong.

I did something similar last year ....... forgot to change from third gear to first, stopped at a junction, checked left, checked right, set off with the bike in third, it stalled but I had already leaned into the turn and I was thrown off.

Ended up in a heap on the floor.

I think these little hassles are some kind of divine intervention thats telling us to be careful and not take chances.

Damb it  why dident you tell me before,  You are closer to the truth than you think ,I had recently fitted foam grips and the spongy
foam caused a slight delay  in the throttle response and I must have opened the throttle even more ,with the result that the power came on with a whallop.
