CRV Dog Guard
on: 16 February, 2016, 10:16:09 AM
Hi All
Just bought a genuine Honda dog guard from fleabay to fit my 09 plate. Bargain buy. Managed to find fitting instructions online (Cox Honda :046:). However I so far have been unable to locate the template for drilling the fixing holes. I wondered if anyone has them lying around, I know that a few members on here have CRV's. Thought that if anyone has, they could probably scan and email them to me so I can copy them. Will be grateful if anyone can help.

 Thanks Martin/

I may be missing something  But if its a genuine Honda part are there not the holes already tapped into the body work of the motor?
They tend to be inside any trim and covered with a sticky tape to keep the threads clean ,
place the dog guard in to get a idea of fit then have a look
I maybe barking up the wrong tree :mfrlol:

Thanks for the reply, but no there aren't any. The fitting kit when new, would have included a template to drill the holes in the correct places and rubber grommets to insert in them. Hooks then slip in to them. Looks like I will be buying some grommets and offering it up in place to mark the holes out.

I would start here, but I can't find a dog guard for a 2009 CR-V:

otherwise, try asking on the hondakarma website

I reckon that you can easily make a template, because the most important thing is probably the spacing of the holes which will correspond with the spacing of the 'hook' ends of the 'upper dog guard anchor', which presumably you have.
You have this, but for others these are the instructions for Honda part 08U35SWW600 (as listed by Cox Honda for "Genuine Honda CR-V Upper Dog Guard-(2007-2012)").....

Bit off topic, But the lovely  cream interior on the Cox's website wouldn't stay like that for long with a dirty Springer in the back(other dog breeds are available) :001:
