Thank you Steve, this is an excellent post, I have used it extensively while researching the option of fitting a Leo Vince exhaust.
The only thing I did differently is that I removed the servo motor altogether. It came off fully attached to the original silencer. There is a way to eliminate the annoying yellow engine light too. I used the Healtech exhaust servo eliminator. Version H02 is for the CBF1000 MkII

It plugs right into the same connector where the motor was removed from. Very lightweight, and relatively small, it can be tucked right back to the place where the motor used to be. The below picture shows how small this thing is.

The whole job including installation of the new LV silencer took me about 1.5 hours, which I considered good for an amateur.

I have one question though. Do I need to get the engine tuned now that there is different exhaust gas flow, as well as no back pressure to the engine?

update...
I took the bike for a spin today, and first everything looked good. Then the yellow light stared showing up intermittently. It was lit and then disappeared. I could also feel some change in the power when the light was on vs. when it was not.
Engine stalled twice while in neutral, and waiting at a red light. Should I worry? Anybody experienced the same with Healtech ESE? What is the solution? If I had a choice I would not like to put the servo motor back...
Maybe just need to get the engine tuned?

I left my servo motor in situ, disconnected the cables from it, and taped it up, to deny water ingress. No problem. So the servo still works, but no cables to operate.
I have read somewhere on the forum if the yellow light comes on then the engine runs badly and drinks fuel. Maybe your servo fooler gismo is not working.

I did exactly this and have had no problems with engine light or rough running. Perhaps check the ESE box is plugged in properly? Otherwise maybe the box is faulty - does removing it change how the bike is behaving?
You do NOT need to have the bike tuned to work with the new end-can. Fitting it does not make a significant difference to how the engine is flowing gas. The flip side of this of course is that you wont get any power gains either!

Thanks for the reply Ali-bear. I will try to remove the unit, but I guess then the engine light will be constantly on. Then will reconnect and see what happens.
I already contacted the manufacturer too, to see what they have to say.

Thank you Tommo2. I have a question. When you leave the servo in place (in my case if i have to re-install it), does it always stop at the right position even without having loads on the motor? (cables are detached so no torque on the motor) Does it foul your ECU the same way if the cables were attached?

Sorry. No idea where it stops, but it works. I decided to remove the cables for two reasons.did not fancy having them potentially hanging around to possibly snag things, and the servo seems to burn out if the cables seize. So if removed cannot seize. Also they remain attached to original exhaust in pristine condition should a different owner wish to refit OEM exhaust.
