Biting the bullet
« on: 16 April, 2013, 09:10:02 PM »
After my joining the forum the other day and the kind comments from other members :046:....I have put a deposit down on a 08 CBF 1000 today, Its in black has ABS and has 21800miles on its back....I am hoping that being 8 years and 83,000 miles newer than my old deauville I will notice a bit of difference :005: I think the 1st jobs will be a chain oiler and a rear hugger...but before all of that I have to wait for the transfer of my personal plate...I am like a 46yr old child at the moment...any advice on which chain oiler I should buy will be gratefully received
Thanks :152:

Hi 1madboiler and welcome to the forum, great place to be.
I would agree on the mods especially on the sticker ( might get discount on my next one  :164:)
Anyway, happy riding,

MAl

A few around but Scottoiler is used by most who go the auto lubing route.  The rest of us plod along with stuff like Wurth and get close to the same mileage out of a chain/sprocket set.  Lots of threads/posts on the subject if you fancy a search.

Scottoiler is really the way to go. If you can afford it, get the electronic one.

Alan
Red MK II with full luggage, MRA screen, hugger, crash bungs, heated grips and Autocom.
CB1300SA with a few bits.

:0461: I have the basic Scottoiler on mine and find it does the job but agree if you can afford it go for the electronic version.
