Bifferman swears by iridium plugs. Says you can get them for about the same cost as OEM of the ebay.
Take my advice or not, I really don't care. I'm just telling you what I think and would do on my bike.

So did Trefoil and he did a huge write up on them if you search for it.  At the same price as OEM plugs, with a significantly longer life span to me it was a no brainer.  Tref was a bit more scientific in his approach, not sure I agreed with everything he wrote but the conclusion was the same.

Hi all
I am about to have a big service of 48000km and genuine spark plugs here in Greece costs 150€  :005:
So just to be sure and not to make a foolish buy,I made a research and according to this table http://www.ngkpartfinder.co.uk/mc_extra.php?id=1153 I found these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NGK-Iridium-IX-Spark-Plugs-Car-Motorbike-Worldwide-Shipping-sparkplug-upgrade-/360464932181?pt=UK_WSJL_Wholesale_GL&var=&hash=item53ed625d55#shpCntId.
Are these the correct for my MKII because the price with postage is 3 times down  :435:

Richard there is a big mystery about these spark plugs!
According to this link http://www.ngk.com/ngk-aut-l1411.aspx we can't find our motorcycle,also if we put at the search engine of the same link "IMR8C-9HES" which is the product code of our service manual there is no results,but if we put "CR8EHIX-9" we have a result.
Also,product finder de, http://www.ngk.de/nc/en/product-finder/produktfinder/MOTORRAEDER/ZUENDKERZEN/HONDA/CBF%25201000%2520FA/IMR8C-9HES/5974/ give us IMR8C-9HES
but,product finder uk, http://www.ngkpartfinder.co.uk/mc_extra.php?id=1153 give us CR8EHIX-9

This morning I went at 2 stores to ask for them.
The first one in his records found that my bike wear IMR8C-9HES and he told me that I should put what the manufacturer says,although he had the "cheaper" one at that moment CR8EHIX-9 and the other one saw me the catalog of NGK with CBF 1000FA and all models,CR8EHIX-9.He told me that always goes with NGK book,and saw me this code IMR8C-9HES at the book which goes for Fireblade 1000RR  :087:
None of them had the IMR8C-9HES on stock but they can supply me.
Of course there is a difference between them because they have different prices, IMR8C-9HES ~21 to 23€ and CR8EHIX-9 ~13 to 15€ but which is it? :087: :232: :087:

Yes, and my guess is that it's possibly a case of the oem (Honda) and NGK conspiring to achieve higher prices by creating a unique part number for the same physical product as covered by a 'standard' NGK part number.

An alternative, as per this page (item 9)....
http://www.bike-parts-honda.com/pieces-honda-detail-40101-13MGJA01-CBF1000FA-2010-E__0200-CBF+1000+F.html
...is the DENSO VUH24D
and if you search for that http://www.sparkplug-crossreference.com/convert/DENSO_PN/VUH24D
this is suggested as equivalent ....NGK  IMR8C-9H (without the 'ES') which is NGK Stock No 3653
then ->
http://www.sparkplug-crossreference.com/convert/NGK_PN/3653
= Autolite Xtreme Sport Iridium Spark Plug XS4302
then ->
http://www.sparkplug-crossreference.com/convert/AUTOLITE/XS4302
:005:  :087:

Good luck!  :138:
