Personally I'm not keen on top boxes, so I like my SW Motech Alurack, it's quite discrete when the top box is off and fairly quickly removed 4/5.

DATA SO FAR

<see later posting for current data>

I'll probably wrap this up soon, probably end of this month.
Data patterns haven't changed significantly since my comments earlier in the month.
Many thanks to all those who have contributed.
As part of a final tidy-up, I'd appreciate those individuals who are identified in the PDF, letting me have the missing info regarding bike, manufacturer and/or rating.
It's not the end of the world if you don't, but it might help someone else decide what manufacturer to choose for the next squidget they buy...
If you believe there's mileage in keeping this going for a longer period, let me know.
In the meantime, go ride.
Mike

Hm, intersting thread.
Some might say that the CBF1000 is basically not that hot and after spending lots of dosh bringing it up to speck, not that much of a bargain either.  :008: :008:

Could also be that the Biffer is a spec'd just right David, and that further customisation is giving owners free choice from the many aftermarket manufacturers rather than saddling them with less than perfect parts (vis-a-vis Honda's hugger) and in addition, enabling them to set their own ceiling and timeframe on expenditure.

Hey Lagerlout, are HG still stocking that satnav holder? It's so good you gave it an astonishing 8/5 so I'm now desperate to get my hands on one...
