Your dead right. The cruise speed that I naturally fall into leaves plenty in reserve, but it's nice to give it the beans sometimes!! :152:

There are of course other bikes that you could get that'll do considerably more. A good turn of speed and acceleration is desirable, but to paraphrase those nice people at  :001:
Rolls Royce: The CBF1000's performance is adequate.

Nice one Pedro :028:  But I think that RR used to refer to their power output of their engines as that, rather than performance, always used to infuriate me when trying to understand what the power output in BHP was of their 6.2ltr V8 they fitted tin the Silver Cloud III and the later Silver Shadow.

When I had my GT, 145 indicated and 137 GPS, plenty fast enough and the bike even sounded content at that, my Z1000SX , 163 indicated and GPS 158 sounds like a screaming banshee, scares the living daylights out of me, will not be doing that to often.
The kwacker engine sounds as if it will rev until it blows where as my GT sounded very refined and lady like, I think it could be tweaked and would go like stink.

You shoudn't be stoned when you ride your bike... :001:

Correct, it is a detuned fireblade but try ridding a fireblade to the SW of France and back, I think you would need to get your ass , back and wrists tweaked back into shape.

Hi all top speed is 130 mph in 6 gear rev counter on the red with slandered suspension very unstable better if two up,may up grade to maxon suspension they revalve front forks & springs, fit there mono shock set up bike to your weight and type of riding, don't reply saying you've don 140 mph, this year at the TT bike was only pulling  90 mph on mountain mile mates 600 Frazer left me standing, went in Honda dealer Douglas, first thing they said have you got race can, no, you may have bad petrol, run bike dry refilled, took it back, they did a factory reset cost £28 soon as i took bike away perfect acceleration was back as it should be,cannot look at speedo at high speed need to much consentration, unless you have one eye up the chimney and other in the pot, mates with digital speedos must be easy er to glimpse at said top speed 129 to 132,
my bikes still under guarantee till the end of august,if you say your bike does more please send me statement and proof and i can take mine back under factory warranty
Ride safe all
