Hi Art,
What I meant to say was the plug hole O-Rings....
Mine look intact, but they feel a bit on the hard side, so I've ordered a new set. Don't want an oil leak and have to disassemble everything again 😳.....

Your post was very detailed and helpful. Gave me the courage to tackle the task 👍.... First time for everything, now I have no fear of doing it in future. Bike is reassembled and going well again.

Hi Fireblader and Bross, many thanks on your right ups on valve adj. as with winter and covid decided to brave job on 2008 mk1 with 32000mls on it with following results:
1IL 13                          1EL 25
1IR 15                         1ER 25
2IL 15                          2EL 28
2LR 12                         2ER 25
3IL 12                          3EL 27
3IR 13                         3ER 28
4IL 17                         4EL 25
4IR 17                         4ER 25

As you can see some adj. needed, just wanted to add my results as others wondering when to check
